Katia Kravitz is a versatile and engaging organist, pianist, and chamber music artist based in New York City. As the Music Director and Organist at the historic Union Church of Pocantico Hills, as well as the Assistant Music Director at Temple Beth Abraham in Tarrytown, New York, she brings a warm, collaborative spirit to her work. In 2023-2024, she also served as the Interim Director of Music at Christ Church in New Brunswick, New Jersey, overseeing the parish's distinguished Richards, Fowkes & Co. pipe organ.

A Russian-born Israeli, Kravitz holds a Doctor of Musical Arts (DMA) in Organ Performance from the Mason Gross School of the Arts at Rutgers University, New Jersey, where she conducted research on the organ music of Alexander Glazunov. Her achievements include the Elizabeth Wyckoff Durham Award for academic excellence as well as the Jean V. Shaw Estate Organist Scholarship, and a Music Department Award from Mason Gross that highlight her commitment to music.
She also earned her Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in Piano Performance from the Buchmann-Mehta School of Music at Tel Aviv University, graduating magna cum laude, and holds a Graduate Performance Diploma from The Boston Conservatory at Berklee, along with an Artist Diploma in Organ Performance from the John J. Cali School of Music at Montclair State University.
Kravitz has garnered recognition for her artistry as both a soloist and a collaborator with distinguished musicians across Israel, Europe, and North America. She has performed at a variety of notable venues, including the Goethe-Institute and Arlington Street Church in Boston, the National Arts Club and Church of St. Ignatius Loyola in New York City, the Nuevo Laredo Cultural Center in Mexico; and the Cathedral Basilica of the Sacred Heart in Newark, among others. Her repertoire spans from early Baroque to contemporary works, showcasing her ability to connect with diverse audiences through both piano and organ performances.
As an educator, Katia currently serves on the faculty of The Browning School and Riverdale Country School. She has been a vital part of the New York Youth Symphony Chamber Music Program since 2007, mentoring young musicians through coaching, master classes, and performances.
